About Judith Schweiger Levy, PhD
I have been working as a clinical psychologist for over 35 years.I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York .
I completed postdoctoral training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis at both the New York University Post Doctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and The Contemporary Freudian Society.
I am currently on the teaching and supervisory faculty of the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis, the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and I am a Training Analyst at the Contemporary Freudian Society.
My coach training was at Mentorcoach, an ICF certified coach training program which specializes in coach training for seasoned mental health professionals.
My desire is to help others to heal their pain and to feel appropriately safe, but also to inspire people to make the greatest use of their potential and talent, to pursue their interests with passion, and to attain a sustained sense of meaning. I believe that moving forward in life involves a continuous regulation between letting go and taking hold of wishes, fantasies, emotions and beliefs. My training in Positive Psychology as well as AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) has reinforced my commitment to helping people to recognize, unlock, and expand the use of their strengths to their greatest advantage both at home and and at work.
My additional interests include mind/body medicine, interpersonal neurobiology, mother-infant attachment, leadership, organizational development , music and unconscious process, and psychotherapy integration.
